REGISTRATION & MICROCHIP
The breeder covers the cost of AKC registration for all puppies, and the transfer of ownership will be completed online within a reasonable timeframe after the puppy is picked up. The AKC registration will be sent directly to the new owner's address from AKC.
All puppies are sold with LIMITED registration. Registration is processed for the new owners, and the documents are mailed to the new owner's address. There is an option to unlock FULL registration with breeding rights once the dog turns 2 years old, provided the new owner completes recommended health checks and earns titles in three types of performance sports: Obedience (AKC Novice Obedience and/or Rally, or BH), Public Access or Temperament test (CGC - Canine Good Citizen, or Farm Dog Certification test, or Therapy Dog test, or AKC Temperament test), and at least one fun dog sport at Novice level minimum (Agility, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Trick Dog, or Dock Diving). FULL registration is required for breeding purposes. Upon unlocking full registration, the breeder reserves the right to collect semen from the male dog for preservation of the bloodline; this collection occurs at the breeder's expense, and the breeder retains full rights for litters produced using it.
Some female puppies may come with a breeding lease contract; please inquire about the conditions.
All puppies will be microchipped and enrolled with AKC Reunite.

HEALTH GUARANTEE
The breeder certifies that, upon receipt, the dog is in good health and has been immunized and wormed according to the accompanying health record of the German Shepherd Dog Puppy.
The buyer agrees to have the dog examined by a veterinarian at the buyer’s expense within 3 days from the date of pick up. If the veterinarian does not give the dog a clean bill of health, the buyer must notify the breeder immediately. The breeder reserves the right to have the dog re-examined by their veterinarian at their cost. Any condition that is minor, correctable, or a breed-related minor condition is not covered. No condition that could resolve itself or is considered likely to be a condition the puppy will grow out of is covered. If the dog is found not to be in good health, the breeder will resume possession if agreeable to both parties. The breeder does not accept responsibility for contagious diseases diagnosed after 3 days from the date of purchase.
Hip dysplasia is covered for 3 years from the date of purchase for the original buyer. The warranty is terminated if the puppy undergoes any surgical alterations (excluding neutering). Spaying/neutering shall be done no earlier than 2 years old; earlier spaying/neutering voids the warranty. The warranty covers a refund not to exceed the full payment for the puppy, depending on the severity of the condition. No medical bills of the buyer will be reimbursed. Any condition deemed genetic or hereditary will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The breeder will provide a partial refund or offer a replacement puppy/discounted puppy for any condition diagnosed as hereditary by a veterinary doctor, even if the parents of the puppy have never been diagnosed or shown any symptoms of the condition. Cases for which genetic test results can be provided, ruling out the possibility of the puppy having this condition, are excluded from the warranty.
Seizures are covered as long as the puppy has never been treated with prescription or over-the-counter flea and tick medications, known to cause seizures in dogs. Bloat is not covered. The dog should not be run hard or trained for active dog sports on an empty stomach.
Heatstroke, exhaustion, dehydration, and other heat-related conditions are not covered in any way. The dog should never be left in a vehicle in weather over 75°F, left without water for a period longer than 2 hours in the heat, or left without food for more than a day.
The German Shepherd Dog is an active breed that requires regular exercise. Obesity and health problems caused by obesity resulting from a lack of exercise and excessive food availability are not covered under this health guarantee. No condition resulting from injury, accident, or mistreatment of a dog is covered under this health guarantee.
