Train your dogs. Train them for competition, for shows, for sports, for fun, for life. Train them often. It doesn’t have to be long; practice some silly little thing for 10-15 minutes a day. Train them to sit, stay, give a paw, bark, and be quiet. Train them to walk on the plank and chase the ball. Do something different or all the same. Just train, and you will see that your dog will become better after every session—not just in doing the skill you taught but being better focused, more attentive, and more willing to do what you ask on an everyday basis. You never spill a drop of effort you pour into your dog; they absorb it all and make it worthwhile for you by being the best dog they can be!
